We are seeking an experienced and dependable Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with manual machining, lathes, and milling machines, along with experience operating Mazak machinery.This position requires someone who understands machining processes, can work from drawings and measurements, and takes pride in producing accurate, quality parts. The successful candidate will be able to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety, precision, and productivity.
Your Day
Operate manual lathes and milling machines to produce and modify partsSet up and operate Mazak machines according to job requirementsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specificationsTake accurate measurements using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometersSelect and properly use cutting tools, tooling, and fixturesPerform machining operations while maintaining required tolerances and specificationsInspect finished parts for accuracy and qualityMake necessary adjustments to machines and toolingMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaPerform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issuesFollow all company safety procedures and quality standardsWork independently while meeting production deadlines
Your Experience
Previous professional machining experience requiredHands-on experience with manual machiningExperience operating manual lathes and milling machinesExperience with Mazak machines strongly preferredAbility to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprintsKnowledge of machining tools, materials, speeds, feeds, and tolerancesExperience using precision measuring instrumentsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionDependable attendance and strong work ethicAbility to stand for extended periodsFrequent bending, reaching, lifting, and moving throughout the workdayAbility to lift and move materials and machine components as requiredAbility to work safely around machinery, metal materials, cutting tools, and shop equipmentAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
